I won the heart of the woman of my dreams about 3 years ago, but after 2 years of the relationship we broke up because I was a selfish wanker and got jealous of this amazing person. It has now been 10 months since we broke up, and I still think about her every day. I've had 1-nights and short flings since, but there's still a hole in my life where she used to be. We talk, but when she lshort love poetry eyesooks at me, her eyes are empty, and what I loved to see there has now gone. I suspect for good. So here's the only way I can say it:
Oh twisted life, Love's hand doth hold.
Put forth it's aims, expressions bold.
What is this fear I fight in vain?
Corrupted, senses spliced in twain.
Frustration mixed with hate elope,
Betwixt two minds, placebo'd hope,
May wish this strengthshort love poetry eyes to unencumber,
And leave me peace in blissful slumber.
Can once I leave my faith intact?
With knowledg'd use of this, my pact.
To Love thee with my heart and soul,
The void now sated, making whole.
